Event Period
The period of which the event will run will be stated in the contract, with a standard event/games hire lasting for a minimum of 2 hours. For events requiring more than 2 hours, the additional cost can be given on request. Please note that any set up / dismantle time are included in the quoted cost, (additional room hire maybe incurred).
Delivery
Delivery is free of charge within the NG (Nottingham) postal code area. Anything outside of Nottingham, mileage is charged from our Scalextric Event Hire office NG16 postcode.
All additional mileage will be charged at £1 per mile, ref from our office address NG16. (ref: www.theaa.co.uk/auto route). Please make provisions for parking, toll and congestion charges where necessary.
CRB Checks
Criminal Records Bureau Checks (CRB) – These enable organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors to make safer recruitment decisions. Scalextric Event Hire staff have completed these necessary checks.
Insurance
Scalextric Event Hire have £2,000,000 public liability insurance but stress
that all participants use the equipment or take part in the activities provided at their own risk.
Payment
Scalextric Event Hire reserves the right to charge a non-refundable deposit of 25%, which
should be sent together with the signed contract upon booking an event. The outstanding balance will be payable no later than 28 days prior to the event unless otherwise agreed. All our prices quoted are inclusive of mileage, toll, parking, congestion charges, delivery, setup, collection and event staff (where appropriate) .
Cancellation
If cancelled within 28 days from the date of the event, clients are liable to pay 50% of the contract price. If cancelled within 14 days from the date of the event, clients are liable to pay 100% of the contract price.
Loss or Damage
Loss or damage of the equipment provided by Scalextric Event Hire during events (other than fair wear and tear) will incur a charge in order to cover the cost for the loss or damaged caused, unless it is proved that such loss or damage caused by faulty material, workmanship or negligence on the part of the company.
Damage caused by wilful disregard of the given instructions of the representatives of Scalextric Event Hire, or deliberate actions resulting in damage of property will be charged to the offending participant. Where hire equipment is supplied without one of our marshal’s in attendance, (i.e. game console hire) a deposit will be required. This will be returned on confirmation the all equipment is present, correct and with no operational damage.
Further contractual information
Scalextric Event Hire reserves the right to change the games provided due to unforeseen circumstances, In the event of this, we will attempt to contact you in advance to make you aware of these changes.
In addition to this, in the event of Scalextric Event Hire being unable to appear for any reason due to force majeure, including but not limited to: fire, flood, strike, failure of transport, illness, accident or injury, the client shall have no obligation or responsibility to Scalextric Event Hire what so ever, safe that Scalextric Event Hire shall, at their discretion return any deposit or payment made prior to the event.
